Jill Scott @ Playhouse

Jilly from Philly treated LA to a sampling of songs from her new album "The Light Of The Sun".

While I am not a fan of the lead single "A Shame", I did love "Boom", "Quick", "Light of The Sun", and her new single "So In Love" featuring Anthony Hamilton.

Jill has moved to Warner Brothers Records and her new album is in stores June 27th...

...3 days after my birthday in case you're wondering what to get for me :-)

Thanks to J. White for the invite!!

Why didn’t you scream?
Why did you take him back?
And then they tell me what THEY would’ve done, when the truth is NO ONE knows what they would do until it happens.
For me, in that moment, I understood why women don’t fight back, scream, call the police, or do anything. When a person is filled with enough rage to attack you they become unstoppable! If you don’t have the same rage when fighting back you will certainly lose. In these cases, when attacked by someone you love, you wonder why and you become more concerned with consoling them than saving yourse…
